As I said in my last post, I’m rebuilding my lip collection. On a mini restock trip to bareMinerals boutique, I eyed their new lip line GEN NUDE. Hearing so many great things about the product, I was drawn to the display cabinet.
First things first, I wanted to shout out to the kind sales lady at bareMinerals. This company only hires kind and knowledgeable associates. I only went to the boutique to restock some of my favorites: Complexion Rescue Tinted Hydrating Gel Cream and Blemish Remedy Acne Treatment Gelee Cleanser. The sales associate approached me and asked if I needed assistance. She suggested a new serum that was made to pair with Blemish Remedy Acne Treatment Gelee Cleanser. Unfortunately, I still had a lot of their other serum. She then joked how she knew Skinlongevity Vital Power Infusion lasts forever. She was so pleasant and kind. It was like she was one of my long lost best friends. I’ve never once had a bad experience in their boutiques. Furthermore, I have wonderful experiences almost every time.
When I asked about their new GEN NUDE lip products, she gave details about what’s in the product and how she likes it. She was actually wearing the matte product itself, so I trusted her. She then asked what I typically wear and made a couple suggestions.
I ended up paying for GEN NUDE Matte Liquid Lipcolor in Infamous but got a mini GEN NUDE Matte Liquid Lipcolor in Swag as a free gift. Again, the sales associate was a peach and made sure I got the best deal possible. When I opened the tube of Swag, I noticed the smell. It smells like vanilla. Both of them do. The sweetness drew me in, making me more excited about the product than before. If you’ve read any of my other product reviews or first impressions, I love anything that smells good. It’s like my Achilles heel.
The wand allows for a smooth application. Once it’s on the lips, it turns matte. The best thing about this matte lip color is it isn’t drying, which I love. It even feels moisturizing.
The one on the right is Infamous. The one on the left is Swag.
Swag is a bit pinker. It adds a bit of warmth to my lips. Infamous is a bit more orange. It makes my lips looks a bit lighter. It’s definitely nuder in color. I love both of them, but I’m definitely loving Swag the most. As a nude girl, I can’t wait to wear them both.
Have you ever tried GEN NUDE lip colors? Which shades would you recommend? How you tried the lipgloss? Let me know in the comments!
